Home | Current Program | PAC 2 | SC 2-4SC 2-4: Self Assessment of Radiation Safety ProgramsSelf-assessment is a process by which an organization evaluates its compliance with external regulatory requirements and commitments and with its own internal radiation safety program requirements. It is a proactive component of an effective management plan for a radiation safety program. This report will cover the types of self-assessments, their purposes, and the processes for conducting them. It will discuss the frequency, the program areas to be assessed, the documentation, and the follow-up of assessments. The report will also discuss guidance for the scheduling and resolution of corrective actions. Initial drafts of sections of the report were prepared during the fourth quarter of 2007. SC 2-4 met on April 13 in conjunction with the 2008 Annual Meeting to review all sections of the draft report. The membership of SC 2-4 is:
